ACADEMY SPOTLIGHT: The Global Citizenship & International Relations Academy recently visited El Buen Amigo & LACA Non-Profit in Buffalo. El Buen Amigo is a fair trade store and space where the Latin American Cultural Association meets and teaches Spanish lessons.
Members of the Academy worked on a character tower activity with Santiago Masferer, the owner and founder of the organization since 1989. They were also able to experience a dance class with Madeline Prada, where they learned salsa, merengue, and cumbia. To top off the day, the group enjoyed a Puerto Rican lunch from Niagara Cafe.
