ACADEMY SPOTLIGHT: We had a very special guest come to speak with the Journalism & Marketing Academy. The Academy set up a mock press conference with Buffalo Sabres General Manager, Kevyn Adams. Kevyn is also a proud Lancer Dad of sophomore, Jackson Adams.
Students were able to ask questions covering everything from the trade process to some of the hardest parts of Kevyn’s job and how to evaluate talent to put the best roster on the ice possible. This type of exercise helps students get a feel for sports journalism and the media in general. Kevyn mentioned several times how good and well thought out our students’ questions were.
We are so appreciative to Kevyn for taking time out of his incredibly hectic day to come in to speak. His down-to-earth nature and love for this city and this team makes him someone everyone can root for. Go Sabres!
